Lobby Organisations in Germany

The International Society of Visual Arts (Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste – IGBK) is a powerful lobby for visual artists. It unites Germany’s three most important national artists’ organisations on the basis of equality: the Federal Association of Artists (BBK), the German Artists’ Association, and the Federation of Women Artists and Patrons of the Arts (GEDOK). IGBK therefore represents more than 14,000 visual artists in Germany. The organisation was established in 1957 as the German National Committee of the International Association of Art (IAA). www.igbk.de
