Project funding & the application procedure PG I

The funding programme of PG I supports exhibitions and projects of artistic and creative complexity. Applications may be received not from individual authors, but only from organisations with legal capacity that offer the members of VG Bild-Kunst a platform for realising projects, exhibitions, symposia and the like. It is important that the funds go directly to the exhibiting artists. In BG I, a maximum of 80 per cent of the total costs of a project can be funded, but not more than 25,000 euros.

Closing dates for applications for professional group I

Applications for PG I can be submitted by 15 March for projects and proposals taking place in the current year and by 15 September for projects and proposals taking place in the following year.

The application process

Each professional group provides its own application form with funding guidelines as well as an information sheet with tips on how to complete the form. It is a prerequisite for funding that a complete application is received by the office of Stiftung Kulturwerk in Bonn within the time allowed. Applications that are received after the deadlines have expired or that are not provided in a form that enables assessment will not be accepted for consideration.
